The 2015 edition of the Denver Cannabis Cup has come and gone. There were dozens of vendors catering to every niche in the cannabis industry, from bongs to Zippos. There were thousands of attendees, most of whom divulged in a free dab or two.

Yes, there were many moving parts in the 2015 Denver Cannabis Cup, but as always, in each category, there was only one winner. Here are a few of the ones in the most high-profile categories:

Best Colorado Sativa Flower

The 2014 US Sativa winner reigned supreme again this year. Unlike in 2014, however, Ghost Train Haze took down the Colorado as well as the US Sativa competition, earning 1st place in both. The early front-runner from last year’s cup, Green Crack, came in 3rd in the US Sativa category.

Best Colorado Indica Flower

Would you be surprised if I told you Greenman Cannabis helped sponsor the 2015 Cannabis Cup Denver? After sweeping through both Colorado flower categories to 1st place victories, probably not.

Best Colorado Hybrid Flower

Kong – Allgreens

In what may be the only surprise of the Cup, Allgreens’ Kong hybrid flower took home the crown. And it doesn’t take long to find Denver Cannabis Cup sponsors Greenman Dispensary and MMJ America; they came in 2nd and 3rd, respectively, with their “Starkiller” and “OG KB Cookies” hybrid strains.

Speaking of “Cookies,” strains with this moniker were the talk of the town at the 2015 Cannabis Cup. 1st and 2nd place in the 2015 US Hybrid category both had the term “cookies” within the strain name. Now everyone’s got the munchies in more way than one.

Best Edible

Bubba Kush Root Beer 100mg – Keef Cola

Another 2015 Denver Cannabis Cup sponsor, another 1st place finish. We’re beginning to detect a theme here. To be honest, though, the stuff is dangerously tasty. At 100mg per bottle, this is not your amateur’s edible. Not recommended for touring news reporters with no tolerance.

Alongside the best of the best to smoke, they also have winners in categories such as Best Booth (Vader Extracts-sponsor), Best Product (Moxie Mix – Vader Extracts-sponsor), and Best Glass art (Qbert – Vader Extracts/Freeek/Pinky-sponsors).
